Lane Kendrick

Born in Missouri, Lane Kendrick started painting at age 12. Lane attended Northern Illinois University for her undergraduate degree and continued her studies at Southeastern Oklahoma University where she earned a Master’s Degree in Fine Art. Lane is qualified to teach art and has taught students from Kindergarten age through university level at Auburn University and the University of Mississippi.


Lane and her husband moved to Oklahoma where her interest in Native American spiritual beliefs, folklore, western legends and the rugged landscape of the west manifested itself in her paintings.


In 2004, the United States Art in the Park program chose Lane Kendrick to be the Artist in Residence at Custer State Park. She is honored to have held this position for the past six years. Her work is displayed at the gift shop on the grounds of the park at Mt. Rushmore, Keystone, South Dakota. Lane helps to supports our military programs like: Wounded Warrior, the Patriot Guard, Folds of Honor and Honor Flights. Lane has made her work available for use in fundraisers for their programs.


Lane’s art has been licensed for myriad products throughout the years.  Lane’s license with Quilting Treasures introduces Lane’s first fabric collection.
